about the be present retreats

It is only when we silent the blaring sounds of our daily existence that we can finally hear the whispers of truth that life reveals to us, as it stands knocking on the doorsteps of our hearts.
K.T. Jong

The Be Present Retreats were born from the belief that creating is a meditation of the soul.

Picture yourself waking up each morning and embarking on a creative journey full of play, laughter, and possibility. You will explore, create, discover, and soak up the world around you. You will move beyond fears and seek and nurture the creative dreams that live within you. Each Be Present Retreat will encourage a balance of time spent in community with time to reconnect with yourself.

Liz Lamoreux is the organizer for each retreat. She is an artist, yoga teacher, editor, and writer living in the Puget Sound area with her husband and golden retriever. She believes in the importance of time spent recharging and refilling the soul's well so that we can be present in our daily lives in a more open and truthful way. Her experiences of community with other artists has encouraged her to see creativity as a form of yoga, and she now honors creating and writing as part of her personal yoga practice.
